In celebration of World Down Syndrome a Conference was held at the Medical Center of Hadassa, Mt. Scopus Jerusalem.
World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) is a global awareness day which has been officially observed by the United Nations since 2012. Each year the voice of people with Down syndrome, and those who live and work with them, grows louder.
Down Syndrome International (DSi) encourages all friends all over the world to choose their own activities and events to help raise awareness of what Down syndrome is, what it means to have Down syndrome, and how people with Down syndrome play a vital role in their lives and communities.
See website www.worlddownsyndromeday.org. Through this site, it is possible to register and share details of activities and events with the global community. Plus it is possible to participate in DSi’s various annual WDSD initiatives.
