Victims of the attacks: the French Minister of Health to observe Israeli clinics

The French Minister of Social Affairs and Health, Mrs. Marisol Touraine, will visit Israel and the Palestinian Territories on Thursday March 31 to Sunday, April 3, 2016. On this occasion, she will meet with Minister of Health Yaakov Litzman and visit Ichilov hospital (Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center).

The visit aims to promote French-Israeli cooperation, particularly in the field of medical research and health innovation. It will also enhance exchanges of experience and good practices to cope with terrorists attacks.

Many victims of terrorist attacks in Israel are received and processed at Ichilov Hospital. Ichilov Hospital is the second largest hospital serving Tel Aviv, Israel, and its metropolitan area. It is the third largest country hospital complex, it covers 150 000 square meters and includes three hospitals: the Ichilov General Hospital with the Rehabilitation Center, the Lis Maternity, and the Dana Children’s Hospital. The hospital director is Prof. Gabriel Barabash.

In addition, the Minister will visit the Weizmann Institute and will exchange with start-ups creators.

In honor of the Minister, Patrick Maisonnave, Ambassador of France in Israel will host a reception.
