12th edition of the Annual Mission TECHNION FRANCE
The Words of Muriel Touaty,Technion France CEO : “The 12th edition of the Annual Mission of the Technion France has just ended a few days ago. This mission has been an unprecedented success thanks to the quality and the diversion of the delegation. And also the meetings and the visits organized on the campus of the Technion, the Faculty of Medicine Rappaport of the Rambam hospital, and the unicorn Mellanox Technologies.”
Our delegation which continues to growth every edition was composed of more than 70 people with high level position at strategic positions in the industrial, research and institutional sector.
Among the members of the delegation, I would like to mention the participation of Catherine Trautmann, Vice-President of Eurometropole of Strasbourg, and a large delegation of the Grand East’s region from Strasbourg and Mulhouse. Moreover, the Mayor of Nevers, Denis Thuriot with a delegation of his city, Alain Bourcier, Vice President of the agglomeration of Nevers in charge of the numeric, Michel Billon, President of the commercial court, Jeremie Nestel, coordinator of numeric innovations for the city and the agglomeration of Nevers.
It is the time to remind the moments.
After the arrival in Israel, at the Ben Gurion’s airport in Tel Aviv, our journey has started with a dinner at the hotel in Jerusalem. Saturday was a day of discovery in the historical and spiritual old city of Jerusalem. We visited the Olive’s Mount, and the church of Saint Sepulcre. Finally we went to the Western Wall.(Wailling Wall).
At the end of the day of Saturday, we took the direction to Haifa; we had a supper in a restaurant in the typical neighbourhood of Haifa. Some members of the Technion joined us. Professor Eli Biham, Director of the centre of research in Cyber security, the Professor Eric Akkermans of the Faculty of Physics, the Professor Ilan Marek at the Faculty of Chemicals, and Mrs Cecile Marek.
The first morning on the campus of the Technion enabled us to meet several professors of the Technion at the auditorium of the Visitor Centre. In the first time, we have been welcomed by Professor Boaz Golany, Vice President of external relations and of the development of resources of the Technion; we have attended to a presentation of the Professor Emeritus Shlomo Maital, in charge of the research at the faculty of Electrical Engineering with the question: « Can Universities create entrepreneurs ? »
We have continued to ” he Drive” and attended to a presentation of the Professor Wayne Kaplan, Executive Vice President for Research who introduced the T3 (Technion Technology Transfer). He presented several stakeholders on the theme « From the Lab to the Market », the CEO of Nanosynex, Diane Abensur, the Professor Moran Bercovici, responsible of the micro fluids technologies at the Technion, the CEO of Sealantis, Dr. Tomer Fuchs, and the Director of Business Development of Rewalk, Itaï Levinson, who came with Radi Kiuf to make a demonstration of the exoskeletons.

At the end of the day, a competition has been set up between several entrepreneurs’ students and think tanks of the Technion, who have presented their projects. It was a playful occasion to show off their projects to the delegation and the ability of the Technion to train its students by pedagogical modules, cognitive ones and work situation to enable the student to gain confidence during his career as entrepreneur. #HumanToHuman #DoItYourself.
