Research in France !
Fellowships Program for Israelis willing to do research in France.
Israeli scientists, willing to do research, may qualify for a fellowship from the French Government. The “Chateaubriand” 2018-2019 fellowships call for proposals is now open !
The research will be performed at a French University, a School of Engineering or a Public Laboratory. Any field of research is relevant, such as Exact and Life Sciences, Medicine, Humanities and Social Sciences. Before applying for a fellowship, the candidates must contact the French host institution to get a formal and detailed invitation or to register at a French university (for doing a Ph.D.). These fellowships are available for a period of 12 consecutive months for a Ph.D. student and for a period of 1 to 6 months for a researcher, with a monthly stipend of 1,060 Euros (Ph.D. student) or 2,0155 Euros (for researchers). Health insurance is also provided. Campus France (the French public institution in charge of managing international mobility of students & researchers) will be in charge of your stay in France and your allowance.

The 2018-2019 call for proposals will be open until March 31, 2018.
Candidates will be notified of their acceptance or rejection by the end of May 2018 in order to be able to begin the scholarship as early as October 2018.
Information Days
You are welcome to attend one of the Information Days that we organize. It will be a great opportunity for you to hear about the fellowships offered by the French Embassy and to ask all the questions you may have in mind about France and its research and higher-education system.
In Tel-Aviv, the Information Day will occur on Friday, February the 16th at 10 am at the French Institute in Tel-Aviv.
In Jerusalem, the Information Day will occur on Friday, March the 16th at 10 am at the Centre de recherche français à Jérusalem (CRFJ), 3, rehov Shimshon, Baka, Jerusalem.
